Tasks The GIS Task Manager supports a range of GIS tasks from basic management of geodatabases to more complex geoprocessing tasks. When you create a new task the GIS Task Manager prompts you to enter the parameters that the task requires. Groups The Task Manager provides a facility to group tasks together into logical sets – tasks can be executed separately or as part of a group Schedule When you have all your tasks set up then you can set individual schedules at the task or group level giving you maximum control over when your tasks will run. Log A comprehensive log is provided as tasks are executed. The task manager includes the ability to set up an email task which can notify a particular person when a task or set of tasks are complete. Interactive Once installed the GIS Task Manager can be launched from a desktop icon. You can use the GIS Task Manager to organise your tasks then run them there and then – following progress as it happens Automatic There is also an option to automate the GIS Task Manager to run whenever you like via a standard windows scheduled task. This means that your data management tasks can be carried out overnight and an email awaits you in the morning to inform you of what has been completed ArcEngine The GIS Task Manager is an ESRI ArcEngine application it will use an available ESRI license or it will utilise an ArcEngine runtime license.
