What technology do we use?

We choose technology on the requirements of a project. We're vendor independent - so we're not trying to sell this or that system, we simply let our clients know which are the best tools and technology for the job.

For desktop development we work almost exclusively in Microsoft .NET, we use other stuff too, like VB6 and VBA, but new project work is predominantly undertaken in .NET - the flavour we favour is C# but we can work with VB.NET if you need us to.

For GIS desktop software we mostly work with ESRI. We do everything from tools and utilities, to extensions and applications. We've developed software across all ESRI license types, including ArcEngine applications and have deployed these into many different environments including Citrix.

Developing GIS systems for the web is now a large part of our development services. There are so many options now available. Here is a selection of some of the technology we use to help put maps and geographic information on the internet: ESRI ArcIMS, ESRI ArcGIS Server, UMN MapServer, Autodesk MapGuide Open Source, OpenLayers, GoogleMaps.
