GBS has completed a GIS Strategy for Tasman District Council

With the full cooperation and assistance of the Tasman DC (TDC), GBS was able to complete a comprehensive Spatial Infrastructure Strategy earlier this (so yes, it is sort of old news - but it is good news).  This work took a number of weeks and included 3 hard days of on-site consultation across all the departments in the Council. 

The end result for TDC is that they now have a program of work to wade through, to ensure that their staff and customers receive the best service they can from their GIS resources. 

It is never easy doing an internal review of systems, data, processes and people but they have come through it very well and things are already happening.  It was a great project to work on and many thanks to TDC for giving us the opportunity.
